Neal has broad experiences working with children, adolescents and adults in various inpatient, outpatient, school and home settings. He has successfully treated clients with an array of conditions, including OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, performance/test anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, substance use, depression, and psychosis.
Neal has worked for over three years as a Behavioral Specialist for children and adolescents with various behavioral disorders at Penn Psychiatric Center. Additionally, Neal has experience working with adults with a variety of behavioral health issues during his tenure at Fairmount Behavioral Health System. Neal completed a doctoral practicum at the University of Penn Adult ADHD Clinic where he conducted ADHD assessments and provided therapy for adults with ADHD and a variety of comorbid diagnoses. Neal’s prior clinical experiences allow him to be a well-rounded clinician who feels comfortable working with clients of all ages.
Neal has a strong belief in the importance of flexibility and self-acceptance in the therapy process and appreciates the influence of social context on mental health. As a therapist, Neal relies heavily on evidence-based practices of CBT, mindfulness and behavioral techniques to treat the whole person. In Neal’s free time he enjoys learning new languages, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
