Lily Cohen, M.A.

Lily Cohen, M.A. (she/her) is a Masters Level Clinician and PsyD candidate at the Widener University Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology, where she is training on the Child/Adolescent, Family, and School Psychology track. Lily is passionate about working with young people and their families and is dedicated to helping children and adolescents feel understood, supported, and empowered as they navigate challenges.

Lily has trained in a variety of clinical environments including outpatient behavioral health, private practice, research institutions, and public school settings. Through these experiences she has developed strong skills in providing evidence-based treatments for children and young adults. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and PCIT-SM for selective mutism. Lily is especially passionate about supporting children and adolescents experiencing anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders, areas she has both clinical and research experience in. She works collaboratively with children and families to build coping skills, increase confidence, and reduce the impact of anxiety and OCD on daily life.

In addition to her clinical work, Lily has contributed to research examining obsessive-compulsive and related disorders as well as trauma and neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and Autism. Her research experience has included work with clinical teams at Mount Sinai and the Seaver Autism Center, where she supported studies focused on the development and treatment of OCD and related conditions as well as the impacts of trauma on inner city communities.

Lily believes therapy should be a warm, collaborative process where children feel safe to be themselves and families feel supported along the way. She aims to create an environment where young people can build confidence, learn practical skills, and feel empowered to face challenges both inside and outside of therapy.

Outside of her clinical work, Lily enjoys spending time with her dog Ziggy and going on long walks around the city. She also loves baking and cooking, photography, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, hiking, and wandering the aisles of TJ Maxx and local thrift stores in search of hidden gems.
