Megan Clingerman, LCSW (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience helping individuals, from preteens to adults, navigate mental health challenges and develop effective coping strategies. Her passion lies in supporting clients to feel more in control of their lives by fostering resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being. Megan has extensive experience in treating life-impairing OCD, anxiety and related conditions and is an expert on the delivery of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in traditional and intensive outpatient settings. Megan utilizes additional evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral Activation (BA) and adeptly personalizes treatment to meet the individual needs of each client.
Building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships is central to her practice, as she believes that meaningful change comes through collaboration and self-understanding. She has a deep understanding of educational services and works closely with clients and families to support 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that individuals access the resources they need to thrive academically and emotionally.
She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, and has experience working in diverse settings, including school systems and higher levels of care. Megan holds a Home-School certification and a Child-Welfare and Wellbeing Certification from UPenn. Her approach is a blended composite of compassionate and pragmatic, focused on empowering individuals to take charge of their mental health and live fulfilling lives.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to new places, hiking, swimming, and spending quality time with her husband, son and their dog. These activities help her to maintain balance and stay grounded, which she believes is essential for her personal and professional growth.
