Aleida Silva-Garcia has obtained advanced practicum experience at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and Drexel University’s School of Education Interdisciplinary Behavioral Health Clinic. Ms. Silva-Garcia has completed her coursework for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Ms. Silva-Garcia is the President of ASG Bilingual Educational Services. She conducts monolingual and bilingual evaluations, functional behavioral assessments, academic and behavioral interventions, and develops positive behavioral support plans. Ms. Silva-Garcia also provides consultation services to teachers, parents, and professional staff regarding the students’ academic and emotional concerns. Ms. Silva-Garcia is certified to provide therapeutic benefits, group counseling, and individual counseling for students. She has also worked professionally as a bilingual Behavioral Specialist, a Mobile Therapist, a research technician, and a youth leader.
Ms. Silva-Garcia is named in several research publications with Dr. Julie Mennella, a leading biopsychologist in women’s health and infant development, and she has presented on various topics at venues, including the Hispanic Summit. She received the AChemS Travel Fellowship for Diversity Award in 2010 and 2011.
