Brittnie Blanchard, M.A.

Brittnie Blanchard, M.A., is a doctoral candidate of Widener University’s Class of 2021, pursuing concentrations in School Psychology and Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapy. She has an array of experiences in assessment and psychotherapy from placements including St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, the Selective Mutism and Anxiety Related Disorders Treatment (SMart) Center, the Upper Darby School District, and Community Treatment Teams of Philadelphia. In addition, Brittnie served two years as head counselor for Camp Pegasus, a summer day camp for children with social-cognitive skills deficits and has taught the preschool children for the past four years. Although Brittnie is particularly interested in the child, adolescent, and family population, she has also gained experience working with adults while on a community behavioral health. During her final clinical rotation of her graduate program, Brittnie is providing school-based assessments, psychotherapy intervention, and consultation
for the Widener Partnership Charter School.

 

When it comes to her work, Brittnie believes that the therapeutic relationship is a necessary foundation and tool for both the intervention and assessment environments. Brittnie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent Development from
Hope International University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Widener
University.
